We are selling items from several generations of the family of Nancy Belck, a former University Chancellor.
We also have property from Jane Hurt of Willow Lake, a gated community in Indianapolis. Architecturals are from
Renee’s French Restaurant in Broad Ripple and The Yellow Rose Inn in Indy’s Historic District. There are many other individual consignors. All of our art pieces are fresh to the market, never before being offered for sale.
Artists are Adellaide Palmer, Homer Davisson, Winnie Harvey, Hazel Doehelman, Helen Meadows, Stella Coler, others. The designer furniture is from JEFFCO of North Carolina, sold to interior designers.

1 1800's O/C "Nativity". Late 19th Century unsigned impressionistic painting in original lighted frame. 16" x 20".
2 Homer Gordon Davisson 1866-1957 O/C SLR “On the Francis Slocum Trail”, d. 1942. Fort Wayne artist. The trail is in the Mississinewa Reservoir, near Peru, Indiana. He exhibited at Herron and Swope Galleries as well as having his work in public libraries in Tipton, Marion & Peru, Indiana. 16" x 20".
3 Adelaide Palmer 1851-1928 O/C SLL "Still Life Pink Roses". Palmer is an American artist known for still life paintings. She is listed in Davenport. The painting dates to the turn of the last century.18" x 24".
4 Harold Wright W/C SLL 18" x 8", "Southern Indiana Landscape". Wright is a Jasper, Indiana, watercolor artist. His ID is on the back of the painting.
5 J.C. Fowler W/C SLR 18" x 46". "Grand Hotel at Mackinac, 1920". This unknown artist captured the grandeur of this period in American history when wealthy people traveled to the island for summer respite from the heat.
6 Hazel M Doehleman W/C SLR "Abandoned Cabin", 10-1/2" x 12", Indianapolis artist who exhibited this painting in 1952 at the Indiana State Fair, ID on back.
7 Hazel M Doehleman W/C SLR "Still Life with Green Bottle", 20" x 16", Indianapolis artist who exhibited this painting at the Indianapolis Art League. ID on back.
8 Winnie H Harvey, Pastel SLR d.1948. "Portrait of Joan", 21" x 17". This Muncie, Indiana, artist is listed in Davenport. She is known as a portrait artist.
9 Stella C Coler O/B SLL “Flowers with Snow Bird” D. 1971 12” X 9”. This Indianapolis artist exhibited in the Hoosier Salon from 1939 to 1966. She attended John Herron and was an instructor at the Indianapolis Art League. She had studios in Sarasota, Florida, and Middlesex, England. Her ID is on the back and a presentation inscription to her friend, Helen Meadows.
10 Helen A Meadows O/C SLR "Still Life Flowers with Fruit", 24"x30". This Indianapolis artist exhibited at the Hoosier Salon from 1955-58. She belonged to the Indiana Artist's Club and exhibited this painting at its 24th Annual Exhibit at L.S. Ayres.
11 Helen A Meadows O/C SUR "Portrait with Hat", 20" x 16". This Indianapolis artist exhibited at the Hoosier Salon from 1955-58. She belonged to the Indiana Artist's Club. Painting is ID'd on back.
12 Helen A Meadows O/C SUR "Tulips", 24" x 18". This Indianapolis artist exhibited at the Hoosier Salon from 1955-58. She belongs to the Indiana Artist's Club.
13 Helen A Meadows O/C SLL, "Pink Petunia", 20" x 16". This Indianapolis artist exhibited at the Hoosier Salon from 1955-58. She belonged to the Indiana Artist's Club. This painting has a Hoosier Salon tag from 1955 on the back.
14 Helen A Meadows O/C SUR, "Portrait with Fruit Basket", 32" x 20". This Indianapolis artist exhibited at the HoosierSalon from 1955-58. She belonged to the Indiana Artist's Club and exhibited this painting in 1958 at the Indiana State Fair.
15 Set of 4 hand colored engravings, each 5" x 4", in gold frames. They are marked Borghese and feature young girls in pastoral activities of gathering flowers, vegetables and milk.
16 Chinese W/C on rice paper signed in character. Owner commissioned this painting and was present when it was painted.
17 Set of 2 Chinese block paintings on textile. It features flowers and butterflies. 10" x 12".

21 Victor Besser O/C SLR “South Dakota Winter” 14” X 16” The provenance on the back of the canvas says Besser painted this in the Superior Montana jail. The original owner of the painting bailed him out. Superior, Montana, is in Mineral County, site of the largest gold strike in history from 1860-70.
22 Glynda Turley Signed LE Print SLR “Orchids and Peonies” 20” X 10” Turley is a living, working artist in Herber Springs, Arkansas, in the Ozark Mountains.
23 Douglas Adams 1894 Colored Lithograph SLR “Autumn Gold” 28” X 20” Adams was an English painter who
exhibited at the Royal Gallery in England. It was originally sold at Reifer Bros.
